Honda Civic Rpm Problem
No.3 plug not firing,changed plugs wires and new distributor installed,when it gets to 3500rpm it starts to bog down will not go past 3500rpm, car is not smoking but some times has a funny smell,and another thing the gas milege is not to much affected,is there a solution that is available to tell me that will fix this problem.

start with a compression test for all cylinders.
when was the timing belt last changed???
have the back pressure checked for cat converter failure.
