1993 Geo Prizm Has no acceleration power

I have like absolutely NO power! It seems to be shifting gears ok (manual tranny) and it doesn't seems to have issues as far as fuel, but it's suddenly as slow as a damn snail and I am lucky if I can reach 3rd gear! But even that is a huge achievement but takes a really really long time to achieve! What could be the problem!

If the engine is running smoothly, suspect a plugged catalytic converter. You'll hear a steady hiss from the tail pipe instead of the normal "putt putt". Of course if the engine has a misfire it won't have much power.
