1993 Chevrolet Caprice Repair Question

Engine help
I have a 93 chevy caprice i just changed the transmission and when i start it the rpm shoots up and the engine is at full throttle. i took the passing gear off and it still happened .Please help!

check to see if you don't have one of the cables messed up and is holding the throttle wide open.
