Oil pressure

With 150,000 miles, I recently noticed that my oil gauge is moving. Basically, it is moving off of the normal 30 mark. As I accelerate towards 60 MPH, then 70 MPH, the gauge moves to 45. When I coast back to 60 MPH, the gauge moves slightly under 30. When the car idles, the gauge is on 30. Suggestions? Thoughts?

How do I know if it is a sensor or a pressure issue?

Hello,

You could have a faulty oil pressure sensor. Does your vehicle runs any different than usual?
If it runs normal then it is likely a faulty sensor.

Here is a helpful link of how to check the pressure:

I have attached the oil pressure sensor replacement procedure.
Please let me know if you have any questions.

Thank you.
