93 park ave climate control

I have a 93 buick park ave ultra, every time I start the car the climate control light flashes for about 1 - 2 min, why, also when I am driving and the car shifts into overdrive it has a bad vibration and I have to take it out of overdrive

Two different problems. The vibration is likely a bad torque converter and the flashing light means the control module has sensed a malfunction and sets a code. You will need a professional scan tool to be able to diagnose that.
