BUICK CENTURY ENGINE PROBLEM
1993 Buick Century • 107,000 miles
Car has been running great. Then it started with the temp light flashing a couple times, the check engine light goes on and it just shuts off. I wait about 10-15 minutes and it starts right up again. I have changed so many things, temp gauge, wires, fuel lines, fuel pump, radiator, fan, air flow sensor, spark plugs, numerous lines that were old and worn. Other sensors, so many I'm not sure how many. A friend of mine is working on it and we are both stumped because no matter what we do, it has the same problem. The temp flashes a couple times, again the check engine light goes on and the engine just shuts off. The ignition modular has spark so we don't think that is the problem. If you could give me some other ideas of what it might be we would appreciate it. We're thinking it might be a sensor we don't know about or maybe the computer is going. It's a head scratcher. I love this car but am pouring so much money into it. We need some direction to go in to solve the problem.
