I am having issue.93 bmw 525I; car died; took alternator off had checked at autozone; passed. Took battery;failed; purchased new one; car drove fine for couple days; died again; was told it was alternator; replaced alternator with a rebuild and recharged battery; it died again after a day; what else could it be; electrical guy said that he checked all point of alternator while on car and its grounded but not giving off the voltage to recharge the battery.I just had alternator checked and it passed. What could it be?

There is something that is being overlooked here. Start again and check ALL power and grounds, is the connection at the starter solid? Is the ground to the right motor mount bracket from the frame rail tight? Is there a voltage drop from the battery to the alternator? Is there battery voltage at the alternator with the key off? Power flows from the battery to the starter to the alternator. Battery voltage when running should be about 14 volts. The blue "field" wire should be checked for proper torque.
