Pontiac Sunbird Cv joint Problem
When put in gear its clanking noise not high pithched whine like tranny wont move in any gear its like its in neutral and just clanking i think its driveshaft or boot

A cv joint boot won't cause that but a broken joint will. Check the outer cv joints to see if one is broken and check the inners to see if one pulled out of the transmission. If an inner pulled out, the most likely cause is a broken spring inside it. A suspension problem like a broken ball joint will let the bottom of the wheel squirt out and that will pull the half shaft out of the transmission too.
