'92 Acclaim still idling high and now overheating

Ran through checklist of vacuum leaks and TPS sensor. Replaced AIS motor and disconnected battery. Ran smoothly and quietly for a day and then suddenly started idling high again and now overheating and smells VERY hot after driving 10 miles or so. When shifting from park into drive, kind of****** (maybe because it is idling so high?) I haven't had it on the DBII scanner as of yet. No check engine light on either.

Clean the throttle body, look for a vacuum leak and retest the TPS also check fuel pressure. Computer might be relearning the idle speed
