Car turns over but will not fire up. Distributor cap and rotor are new, clean and dry. Previously, for the past few months, I have had to turn over two times before it would crank. I can hear the fuel pump run when I turn the ignition switch on. She just will not fire up.

Four cylinder two wheel drive 100,000 miles.

Replaced the starter, and the solenoid mounted near the battery.
The car clicks, but will not start.
The solenoid is what is clicking.
Please help!

Check your connection at the starter relay in and out from it. At the relay you should see two small terminal S and I, if so, disconnect the S terminal have helper hold key in cranking position and check for power. Do you have power? If no power, start checking the park and neutral switch and ignition switch.

When I go start the car you can hear the fuel pump go on then off it off will start, but when I try to start it again the fuel pump stays on and it will not start. Please help.

Car has been running great. It sputtered and shut off. I think I ran out of gas. I put two gallons of gas in and tried to start it. It tried to start but shut off again. I pumped the gas while trying to restart it and it would run a little but would not keep running. I got starting fluid and then it would run a little better but would not keep running. I can hear the fuel pump run and checked fuel flow at the exit side of the fuel filter. When switch is in run position fuel would flow out the filter for the few seconds that pump was running and then stop.
How likely is it that I do not have enough fuel pressure? Or is there something else more likely causing lack of fuel to cylinders? Is it possible it has lost prime? (I doubt it)

In tank fuel pumps are cooled and lubricated by the fuel in the tank. When you run a car out of gas or very low, it pumps a lot of air through the pump which overheats it and causes some severe wear and many times, failure when they cool off.
You will need to use a fuel pressure gauge to verify this.

Four cylinder front wheel drive automatic 65,000 miles.

This has happened to me several times. My car will not start. I put the key in the ignition and turn but nothing happens. I called my boy friend and he turned the key and it turned right over. Once it happened around five in the morning and when I called and he came he had to pop the hood and did something with a hammer, but he said its not my starter. I do not know what to do. The car is in fantastic condition aside from this and I do not want to get rid of it. Another problem is sometimes when I start the car and step on the gas the car jerks like no gas is getting into it, or when I go up a hill. I just put new brakes on it and had a tune up so I do not know what the problem maybe.

Four cylinder two wheel drive automatic.

Engine will crank and it will fire but does not start. There is good fuel supply and the TFI ignition module seems to check out fine. The voltage to the coil checks out fine also. The car was running fine when it was parked and then when I went to start it, all that happened was the engine would crank but not start. I am out of ideas, please help. Thanks

Get a helper disconnect a spark plug wire or two and ground it to the engine at least 3/16 away from ground have helper crank engine over. Do you have a snapping blue spark? If so you have a fuel related problem. Check the fuel pressure to rule out the fuel filter/fuel pump/pressure regulator and listen to the injector/s are they pulsing or hook up a noid light. No snapping blue spark continue to troubleshoot the ignition system power input to the coil/coil packs, coil's resistances, cap and rotor, distributor pick-up coil, ignition control module, cam and crank sensors and computer.
