Car keeps cutting off

I HAVE A MERCEDES BENZ 1992 400E WHEN EVER I STOP AT A LIGHT IT WILL CUT OFF. WHEN I RESTART IT AND PUT IT IN DRIVE IT CUTS OFF. EVERY TIME AND REFUSES TO GO. IF I PUT IT IN REVERSE IT DOES THE SAME THING. WHEN ITS STARTING IT MAKES A CLINKING NOISE IN THE REAR RIGHT SIDE. I SMELL SOMETHING LIKE GAS OR SOME KIND OF FLUID. A BODY THROTTLE WAS JUSTR INSTALLED A FEW WEEKS AGO

Well, sounds like a few things are going on. Lets look at the problem with the car stalling first. I think the noise in the right rear might not be related.
However, let me know the following;

Did the noise in the right rear start when the car started stalling or the throttle body was installed?

Did you have the throttle body installed because the car was stalling?

How did the car run before the throttle body was installed?

Was there any other services done to the car?

I will watch for your reply to this post and will hel;p to find the source of the stalling problem.

Is there something needed to resolve this issue or has it been taken care of?
