Ghost alarm

On my 1992 lexus sc400 an sound alarm of very short duration comes from the area of the right front door when I turn the ignition key to the "start position. This started about a week ago.

Is there a door speaker? Do you think that it may be emanating from there? Try removing the radio fuse and seeing if this stops the noise, start here.

Yes there is a right door speaker and it sounds like that is where it is coming from. If so what is causing the alarm?

It may not be an alarm, it may be a problem in the amp, I think you should let a radio tech listen to this noise.
