What could be causing the power steering to make noise until i turn the steering wheel to lock each direction?
Just replaced the P/S pump and rack & pinion, including EVO assy. It still makes noise until the steering wheel is turned to the lock position both directions, then the noise will stop until the car is turned off and then restarted. What is causing this & how do we make it stop?

engine idling warmed turn steering wheel left to lock hold 2-3 sec then right hold 2-3 sec. center turn off watch resivor for air to gurrgle out add fluid if needed. repeat several times till all air out
