1992 Jeep Cherokee Light issues

The lights on my jeep will not turn off, even if the switch is turned off and the engine is turned off the lights do not turn off, I've had to unplug the battery just to keep the battery from dying. As well the steering wheel has a bit of play with it, I can shift the wheel slightly from side to side without the tires shifting. Wondering if I can do anything about these.

Have front end checked for steering play may be a box adjustment. For headlights, see if you can find someone with a scanner for earlier models as it may be your headlight delay module or chime module bad.
