Pistons hitting exhaust valve
Please if you have timing diagrams, chart or a web site where l can download it. Its an isuzu elf 250 diseal 4fh1

Was anything done prior to this occurring?
To check the valve timing, turn the crankshaft to TDC and check the cam pulley timing. It should line up level with the cylinder head. You need to remove the valve cover to check this.
Note : If the engine did not go through any repairs and had a knocking noise prior to this, the most likely cause would be bad con rod bearings.
