I have a l992 Honda accord that makes an intermittent roaring noise when it idles and then returns to normal when put in gear. Someone suggested that it may be the throttle body or something. Do you have any ideas as to what may be causing this noise? Thanks,
Barb

Check the Electric Air Control Valve (EACV) On intake manifold assembly, near throttle body.

Ensure there is sufficient coolant in system and the bypass hose to the EACV and cold start valve are not clogged.
