1992 Honda Accord Repair Question

I have a 1992honda /excel/172,000 miles. recently, it has become a little difficult to change gears from "park" to "reverse," particularly when engine is cold. gear seems tight, and requires pulling on it hard to shift. it is easier when engine
When the engine is cold, I have to pull hard on the brake to move from park to reverse...a little easier to move into drive. When the engine is warm, it is not as difficult. This change started approximately three weeks ago.

I'm a little confused... You have to pull on the brake? Do you mean the shift handle? If this is what you mean, the shift cable (or linkage) may be binding.
