I have a 1992 gmc 4wd with a 5.0 eng my problem is hard to start and it surges high an low when idling an when going down the road. i changed the throttle position sensor with no change any idear what it could be

Check the fuel pressure with a gauge if its within specs-could be low, also clean out the idle air control valve and test the coolant temperature sensor-
