1992 Geo Storm headlights come on by themselves

I have a 1992 geo storm GSI and sometimes the headlights will come on by themselves at night time and run my battery down, im not sure what could cause this but it is very annoying.

Check your lighting relay it may be going on. Try replacing with another relay first it's in your relay box.

Ok is the relay the one under the hood that says "lights"? And it only does this sometimes, they work fine usually on and off no problem, so im not sure if changing the relay out with another one from the box will tell me anything. Should I just replace with a new one? Or can I test a relay to see if its faulty?

If you go on our site it tells how to check a relay under how to repair-electrical. It may not be that or it cold be a switch or something powering it up so it may be two wires rubbing together. It's in your relay box marked lights it may be under hood
