1992 Ford F-150 Repair Question

Adjusting a tps sensor
I just put in a new tps sensor,but the truck is not running correct still. I am getting a code 53. How do you adjust the tps sensor and some mechanic told me you need a special tool.I only know of a muiti meter is needed.
