My car wouldn't start when it got really cold out so I jump started it and for the next week it was fine it started with no issues. After about a week it wouldn't start again so I jumped it and had to keep jumping it every morning and when it got really cold outside ( but would start fine when weather warmed up a little bit). I replaced the battery and had no further problems. The temperature is suppose to be 40 to 50 below zero in a couple of days and want to make sure it will start. Any advice to keeping the cold from me not being able to start my car do you think the battery completely resolved the issue?

It may have, batteries fail most often in cold and hot weather. Wlhen they are tested there is a load test done normally and that would tell you whether it will be in good shape or not. However at that temp you are talking about it won't crank for long as it's extremely hard on batteries. Hopefully you have a block heater installed.
