starting when humid

92 ford aerostar doesnt want to start when humid or wet outside. it trysto start but misses,sounds like running on 3-4 cyls and black smk out ext. i'm on very limited funds and would like a good place to start.....tks

If it only happens when it is wet, chances it is an ignition problem such as plug wires, distributor cap... That is where I would start and that is where I feel the problem is.
