Won't idle. New; battery, rotor cap, distrib. Cap, wires, plugs, oil & filter, air filter, EGR valve, EGR valve sens. (Broke it removing vacume tube) PCV ! Will not idle, neither cold or running temp, has no power (bogges) off of a stop. 2 wheel drive, manual trans, TBI - 4.3 motor, 179-thou on truck. This has been going on for 2-3 months, ran better while temps were warmer. Now that it's cold, it's nearly impossible to drive. Can smell raw gas during start up, & goes thru fuel like the stuff is going out of style ! Engine service lite not on.

Distributer is out of time I had a problem it has came lose and retarded it self u need to advance the timing before it jumps timing

Thanks for the idea, but already took care to check that before I posted question. Since posting. After 2 cans of flamable brake clean.I discovered that the motor has a leak in the back of the intake manifokd ! Ahhh the joys of turning wrenches during the cold Motor City winter !
