I had the volt light on the dash come on. and did not know what it means
I did a tuneup. replaced plugs and wires.when I changed the plugs by the firewall I pulled the alternator to get to the plugs easier. I put everything back and made sure all wires and plugs were connected.I drove it for a day everything was fine. then when I started it the following day the volt light on the dash came on.what does it mean???

The first thing i would do is with the volt light on see what the voltage at the battery posts at idle.Sounds like a charging issue.Possibly a loose wire.
