92 Corsica 3.1 While changing radiator I noticed the four prong terminal on tranny wasn't plugged in. Hasn't been since I've had the car. So I plugged it in and then found out why it was unplugged! Ha! The clutch wouldn't release so I unplugged the wires. It's back like it was now. Since I now know it has a lock up converter I would like to get it working again to save gas. I have read another post on here that mentioned the TCC sticking. I haven't been able to find a TCC for this car, only the transmission control solenoid at parts stores. Does this car have both or does the TCS control the torque converter clutch also? Also are these replaceable without removing the tranny and disassembling it?

The toque converter clutch is inside the torque converter nd are known to go bad at times that s' why you needa trans guy to check it out. His experience with transmissions will et you know if it's bad or not plus he can do other checks that MOST mechanics don't do because they don't normally do transmissions as they handle most other car problems
