Chevrolet Camaro Brake pads Problem

Put on new pads now the car shakes badly and gets rotor hot what could be causing this

IT sounds like the caliper is sticking to make it hot, and the vibration is from a warped rotor.

Why didn't it do it before I changed them

Your old brake pads and rotors wore together. Now you got new pads on old rotors. Just a possibilitity. Didn't mean to butt in. Have a good day.
