Hi I took my 1992 cadillac deville radiator out today because it had a hole in one of the fins. I tried using propane to solder it while it was on the car but it kept catching on fire. I took the radiator out and soldered it. When I took off the 3 out of the four lines it had fluid coming out. Is this oil fluid or is this something else. If it is oil do I need some more to the engine. Thanks.
The fluid was red?The transmission oil cooler is inside the radiator.
Oh ok. It came out black. Is that bad. What do I need to add oil fluid or transmission fluid. Thanks.
One side of the radiator has a transmission cooler and the other side has a oil cooler not sure which side is which.follow the cooler lines to see which is which. If oil or transmission is low of course top off the level.
Ok. Thanks so much.
