CADILLAC DEVILLE FUSE PROBLEM

1992 Cadillac Deville • 135,000 miles

Hi I am looking at a chiltons manuel to diagnose a cruise control problem. I reposted sorry. But Is a speed sensor on the 1992 cadillac deville related to the cruise control. I have checked the fuse it was good. Their is no leak in the vacuum. I changed the cruise lever out. I checked for power it has power. I bought a servo on ebay that was supposobly in working condition. Where is the stepper motor located. From the sounds of it. It is the thing that attaches to the throttle cable and the cruise cable. What is a transducer and how do you test it. Also is their a way to test the cruise servo. Thanks.

That is too bad.
Lobsters are red only after being cooked and we don't like that to happen to you.

Hope you get well soon as we have unfinished business.

Thanks yeah I know we still have business to do. The doctors are freaking out and I am keeping a funny side to this story. They are like you are going to peel from the inside out. I was like and. So they are really worried.

Thanks for that. I am really laughing about this to keep a funny side to this. They were like you can peel from the inside out. I was like and you got medicine for that. So I am just trying to keep my hopes high. I know we still have business to do maybe next week now because they are wanting to release me tomorrow. I am getting red like a lobster again and my eyes are red and seillen so it is what it is. Thanks again.

Ok I am still not doing so good and no doctors or hospitals are willing to help me. I might test the wires tomorrow if I can. I am just really run down and can barely move. They think I am having a porphyria attack and also on top of that the stevens johnsons syndrome that is make me in bad shape. Also thanks for the posts.

You need to get the orange light to come on. Maybe this is where the problem lies. A break in the circuit to the indicator light and PCM. I am attaching the schematic again.

At PCM D2 terminal, test the Grey wire for battery voltage. If you do not have battery voltage, check the wire for an open between the switch and PCM. Attach test light to a power source and probe the terminal to test if the Orange light comes on.
