Im replacing my serpentine belt on my 1992 buick century. i Have loosen the bolt in the middle of the pully but it is still tight can you tell me what im doing wrong?

hwat engine?the pic i'm sending is for a 3.3L and 3.8L the tensioner has to be moved towrds alternator. to remove belt. you shold halso replace the tensioner if replacing the belt.

u will need a half in. breaker bar.look at the tensioner its spring loaded.there is a spot on the tensioner to put the bar in then pull on the bar.this release the belt so u can remove and install.push it once to remove it.then again to insall.
