Hello i have a 1991 toyota pickup and the problem is that when i reach about 2500 RPM i hear a knocking noise. It only does that at high RPM.
What type of knocking noises are you hearing-is it coming from the engine or somewhere else. The engine could pinging/detonating
It's coming from the engine. I let someone rev up the RPM and i can hear it in the engine, underneath. Even on just a steady motion, car not in gear at idle and stepping on the throttle at 2500 RPM you can hear it.
Could be worned valves and valve lifters/camshaft-if its more like a ticking/tapping noises-check oil pressure with a mechanical gauge
It's more of a heavy clonk noise. The compression test is #1 155psi #2 125psi also #3&4 at 125psi
Sounds like engine bearings rod/main- check the oil pressure
