How much oil is needed in the ac compressor of a 1991 ciera. I know part goes in the compressor and the remainder is put into the accumulator, but which side of the accumulator?

Usually, you would try and drain the old compressor, and add the same amount of new oil, or 2 oz. If you did not replace the accumulator, you shouldn't have to add to it.

I would add 1 more ounce with the accumulator.
