1991 Mitsubishi Mirage Repair Question

Mits auto trany problem
1991 Mitsubishi Mirage Automatic transmition seems to be stuck in 3rd gear, but it works (shifts) every so often. What things should i check to try and solve the problem so i can save money?

Stuck in 3rd gear means the trans is in " limp mode ". It usually is due to an electrical control fault such as faulty sensors etc. You need to retrieve the trouble code to understand what is causing it.
