1991 Mercedes Benz 230te Repair Question

Can you tell me why my car idles as low as 5000rpm

When i got the car 3weeks ago it idle at around 15000rpm depending on the weather when lookin at it the throttle cabble was adjusted to far an the throttle arm wasnt sitting on the idle switch in the book it says its ment to so i have ajusted it to where it should be now it idles at 7500rpm an in warmer weather it can drop to 5000rpm an try to stall can you help thank you

computer controls the idele. is it stalling or causing any problems?? sounds about right

thanx for getting back to me it dose stall on warm days also the car is very shakey at lights is it an easy fix if i take it to a garage thank you

it sounds like a vacuum leak. get a shop to check. it should be an easy fix

have cheaked for that an also disconected the battery over night to see if it would rest itself an no leaks an no diferance

would a split in a air fillter breather hose make a diferance

it could if it is a vacuum source.

it gose from the rocker to the airbox an fron the rocker to the air flow valve one pipe joins all three together i know that pipe is split

i hope, i am not there and dont know which hose you are referring to but either way, it should be replaced.
