Car overheating

I bought a 91' mazda 323 about 6 months ago, it was running fine until a couple of weeks ago, when i was going up a relatively steep hill, i smelt a burning smell and noticed the temp gauge had risen nearly to the top.\r\ni've only noticed that the temp gauge goes up when I'm accelerating for a period of time, e.g. going up the steep hill.

my coolant doesn't seem to be leaking, and the reservoir is at full.

Symptoms indicates the cooling is inefficient and the most likely cause is a partially clogged radiator. Have the radiator cleaned/flushed and retest.
