1991 GMC S15 Repair Question

Speedometer out
I have a 1991 GMC Jimmy s-15 4x4 with a 4.3 v-6. My speedo doesn't work. I have checked the wires for a short and replaced the drac and still no luck. I have yet to replace the vss.what else should i look at?

Inspect and test the VSS in the speedometer housing
