Location of starter relay

Schematic shows relay in engine compartment. I am assuming it is on firewall. The only relay I see is the fuel pump. I'm not reading power at purple wire at stater solenoid. Replaced ignition switch. Bypassed park neutral switch reading power there. Checked fuses. What am I missing?

Hello,

There is not relay except for the one on the starter itself which is the solenoid. Here is a starter wiring diagram (BELOW) and a guide on how to test it.

Check the wiring diagram to see where you are losing power and so you can see how the starter system works. Check out the diagrams (Below). Please let us know what happens.

According to wiring diagram, the 1991 Chevrolet pickup (c&k series) the starter relay is the starter solenoid. Diagram is attached.
