Have to crank and crank before engine will fire then runs and starts perfectly til sets for several hours has new plugs and wires usually starts on3 rd try of cranking and slowly pumping gas then holding accellorater pedal all the way down

Pumping the throttle on a fuel injected car does nothing but exercise your foot. Holding it to the floor shuts the fuel injectors off.

You need to use a fuel pressure gauge and see if the rest pressure bleeds off when the engine is shut off. Also watch what the pressure is doing while you are cranking it and trying to start it.
