1991 Chevy Astro van heater blower motor

I am having an issue w/ the heating/AC.
the blower motor will not run without "tapping" on the relay located on the passanger side firewall.I have replaced this relay & the resister, but no change. Also if the blower is running, changing the fan speed will shut the blower down. Any ideas?

Inspect and test the blower switch and wiring to it could be shorting out-

Switch like the slector in the van?
Or a switch on the blower?
All the wireing was cool even cleaned all the concacts I colud see also.
