If it is stuck in park, make sure the park lock solenoid is releasing (make sure brake lights are coming on). If the shifter moves to reverse, check linkage to transmission to make sure it is working. Finally, if you can place it in drive and it works but reverse doesn't, you need to have the reverse band checked. It could have broken.
