How much would it cost to tighten the shocks on a 1990 Toyota Trecel, as well as replace the back drums, and the pipe b/t the muffler and the catalytic converter? I've looked everywhere, but so far I have found plenty of data, but no information. If anyone knows anything, please reply!

What do you mean by tightening the shocks? Rates varies region to region and you should get local quotes to be accurate.

What I mean is that the ad I looked at said the shocks were loose, and I assumed that meant that I had to get hem tightened. Since I know nothing about cars, this seemed to be the logical assumption.

Shocks would weaken but not get loose, unless they had not been torqued correctly. For loose shock you either replace them or service them which is not done anymore as suppliers do not provide after market repair kits, unless they are of expensive and high performance type, not used by manufacturers.

And roughly how much would it cost to get them replaced? And do you know anything about back drums and muffler pipes, as my first question asked?
