1990 Mitsubishi Magna Repair Question

Mitsubishi Magna Clutch Problem
Gears stuck in 2nd gear, the car seems to still run while the foot is on the clutch, but as soon as u let the clutch out the car stalls, also i notice the gear stick is floppy but only moving forward motion and backward motion, it cant go from right to left as well , not able to change gear to 1st, 3rd, 4th, 5th and reverse or even nutual even with the clutch in, will it be a gearbox problem? or sumthing else?

More likely to be a fault with the gear shift linkages and maybe the clutch needs attention. If hydraulic, check the fluid level. If cable, check free play.
