Will 'stop leak' stop a water pump leak

The state of calif. has agreed to buy my car.
i have to drive the car about 20 miles on city streets to turn in my car

water leak coming from my water pump.
will a 'stop leak' pour-in product like Bars
stop or slow the leak so i can drive the 20 miles there?

if no, any suggestions?
all i can think of is drive 5 miles, let the car cool down, add water to radiator,
then drive 5 more miles and so on.
state says it's ok if car is leaking , but i have to drive it there under it's own power.

thanks for your time.

No, it won't do any good for a water pump but it will plug up the radiator and add more problems. All you can do is bring plenty of water and hope you don't fry the engine on the way there.
