Electrical

My vehicle does not appear to be charging / or holding the charge. There are no warning lights showing on the dash and when I jump start the vehicle it will not put charge into the battery.
the battery is only around 2 years old (walmart)
my own thoughts are either a dud battery or a dud alternator but would the warning lights not show if the later was the case?
could it possibly be an other electrical problem?

Does the warning light turn on when you turn on the ignition switch? If it does, measure the voltage on the yellow wire at the generator. If it doesn't have 12 volts all the time, look for a blown 15 amp fuse.
