Fuel Pump
I have a Mercedes 300sl-24valve,it starts fine when cold until it gets hot and then the engine starts missing and will then cut out and will not restart. If i leave it for a couple hours to cool down it will start straight away until it gets hot again and then the same problem. a mechanic says it could be the fuel pump as it has a slight leak he says. what do you think?

Aloha, your mechanic is probably right and the leak has to addressed. Have you replaced the fuel filter? It actually sound like a classic ff problem. Regards,
