Want crank

I have a 1990 Mazda B2600I, I just put a rebuilt engine in it. It has about 800 miles on the vehicle. My problem is, it will not crank in the mornings up until about 1pm in the afternoon, and after that it cranks and runs fine... Help please!!! Brad

Brad:
Check fuel pump pressure in the AM when it doesn't start. Also, make sure you are getting spark. My guess is there isn't enough fuel in the cooler AM hours to start it (lazy pump). See if it will start and stay running in the AM using starting fluid. IF it does, the pump is my first guess. Also, only 800 miles? Is that correct?
