1990 Ford Taurus Repair Question
Why won't my 1990 Ford Taurus spark?
if yo are getting spark fromt eh coil to the dist then you either have a rotor cap or dist cap that h as gone bad or a coilwire or all threee. I am not an instructoron how to fix a car an d if you can't get it to runi'd suggest you take it to a pro who can. from the the info i've given you you should have been able to figuresout what is wrong with the car doing a step by step follow through. scanning for codes an dcheckecing fuel pressure shold be the very first things you do on fuel injected engines. you could have a crank sensor or dist problem with your vehicle. i canoffer no further comments
Also when I checked the psi it seemed to be around 35 (didn't have a pressure gauge after I had bled some air and fuel quite a few times, I got a good amount of fuel pressure each time I primed it.
That sounds like nothing but a wild guess and no idea if the pump picks up during cranking.
Thanks for taking the time to help. I really appreciate it and will keep all this in mind when I return to the car.
