I WENT TO SWITCH MY OIL PRESSURE SWICH AN FOR SOME REASON
1990 Chevrolet Truck • 130,000 miles
What that looks like is a knock sensor gong into the water jacket. the plug for oil should be just above the oil filter like an inch or so towards the front an dcomes out the side.
Alright i'll get under there an look again thers wire going into it correct an you can see it with the filter on still rihgt? any idea what its called like would a manual show it an location thanks
If you have aa manual that shows an engine block it should be there. it is la hole that HAS to be drilled inorder to finish drilling the main bearing/cam feed it should be eitehr a 1/2" or 9?16" plug.there should be no wire going to it if there is you will need an adapter for the oil pressure switch.
This hole is right above the oil fitler on the housing itslef it goes all the way through i checked it with a little screw driver could that be it
Then theres this hole its on leftside driverside of block next to a huge hole
I think its the first one thats right above the oil filter let me know thanks
Actually scratch all that this is a hole literally right above oil filter and it had a hex head bolt in it will this work please let me know thanks for ur patience and help
Use th one on the block, you shol dhave said yo have an engine oil cooler on this. you culd also try the one on the filter housing but i dont 'know whttype of pressure reading it will give.there should be a plug on the block not a hole. otherwise try to find a manual that gives a picture of a block
I undid a bolt that was on the block to the left of the oil filter to see but all that caame out was coolant so i tightened it back down
