1990 Chevrolet Silverado Tail light on Chevy

I'm trying to repair my tail lights and when I cut on the left blinker the right blinker comes on and sometimes I switch wires and they work but thensomething else dont work or two bulbs blink on one side or right brake light does not want to come on if I switch the wires around sometimes I can get to break like to come on but always something don't work right can you help me with this. I just had surgery on my leg and need trans to hospital.

I have to check your wiring. Give me a sec and I'll post a diagram. You check the proper wiring colors for voltage. Probably a multi-wire connector under your dash for the wires coming and going for your steering column. Could be issue with turn signal switch or wiring in steering column? Usually the lower brake lights are wired through the turn signal switch.

You will have to do the testing, I can't see anything from here. Be back with diagram.

Here is the diagram for left stop/turn rear. The brake and turn signal use the same bulb filament, just not at the same time. The yellow wire is voltage, black is ground, check them both.

If you have the wiring screwed-up at the rear, I'm going to have trouble trying to help? I looked at a c/k series pickup.
