1990 Chevrolet S-10 Repair Question

Right rear speaker dead. What could be the problem?
Recently replaced stereo with a pioneer, not sure if speaker was already dead. Think it is a factory 4x10.

chekc it with aknown good speaker, canbe any size for checking
if it works the speaker is dead
