1990 cadillac eldorado. Im trying to get the upper shaft of the steering wheel out. Its a two piece plastic ball of the steering wheel that came apart. I disconnected the bolt on the knuckle, tried to pull it out, but it doesnt want to pull out much. What am I doing wrong?

The steering column has to be removed and then totally disassembled. That will require some special tools also.

I recommend a mobile steering repair repair co. Only reason you would have to remove the tilt knuckle is a stolden recovery with a damaged col. Or the starting rack is broken. Whats up
